Spring Hair Trends

by

Forget the cold, icy weather, we’re into Spring here at Hairtrade and I’ve picked some of my favourite hair trends for the season.

GET STRAIGHT

It’s all about straight and sleek this season so dig out those hair straighteners! Try the glossy and poker straight look like Isabel Lucas, or go more natural like Taylor Swift in her recent Vogue photoshoot.

To achieve the look, use a straightening shampoo and conditioner such as TIGI Bed Head Styleshots Extreme Straight Shampoo and Conditioner to get your hair smooth, shiny and most importantly frizz free! Next, blow dry your hair with Sexy Hair Power Straightening Balm to combat even the most difficult hair and leave it super straight without adding any weight.

Osis Flatliner Iron Serum Spray is also ideal for that ultra-flat style. With heat proof ingredients it gives extra care and proection while using straighteners. Apply after you’ve blow dried your hair and use your straighteners to smooth out your locks.

GET BRIGHT

Spring is definitely about colour this year, with coloured highlights appearing everywhere from the catwalk to the stars. Forget the caramel and honey higlights and have fun with your colour. Try dip dying the ends or even go for the mermaid style like Lauren Conrad.

Fudge Paintbox is ideal to do it yourself at home – paint a few streaks in the middle or bottom layers of your hair so they just peek through your natural colour. Pink moon and Vendetta Red are my favourites but there’s loads of colours to choose from. It lasts between 3 and 30 washes so its great if you want to make your coloured hair stay for a while.

If you don’t want permanent colour, then clip-in highlights are a quick an easy way to achieve the look within seconds. Clip in a few strands underneath your hair and plait your hair. It will add that little bit of Spring colour.

Which Spring trends will you be trying out this season?

I have naturally ginger/red hair but would love to try some colour in my hair. If I was blonde I’d love to try the purple and blue random ombre strands, but unfortunately I’m not and have no idea what colours would look good or even show up on my hair.
    HELP?!

Hello! I saw a picture a few days back of a girl with ginger/red hair who had dip dyed their hair with blonde, so it was their natural colour on top then blonde at the bottom and that looked gorgeous – if you look at pics with ginger/blonde ombre so you know what I mean! If you want to be a little more bold, I think a deep purple would like nice against your hair colour as it could blend really nicely into it. Hope this helps – let me know how you get on! x

What do you think?
