Win the Battle Against Grey Hairs

by

As much as we’d all like to think we’ll be youthful forever, we won’t! Even if we can stretch the years out with expensive creams and avoiding the sun, ageing will catch up with us – especially when it comes to our hair.

But, it doesn’t mean you have to settle, not unless you want to that is. Whether you’re 25 or 35 when the greys begin to show, you can fight back. Using a combination of clever care, healthy lifestyle choices, and maybe even a little colour, you can beat the battle of the greys with a whole lot of grace.

Growing Old Gracefully

And, of course, your first option is to grow old gracefully. There’s a lot to be said for embracing the grey and working with what you’ve got. Grey can be very chic – it even seems to be trending right now. But, if you’re going to let the greys shine through, you might want to work on keeping your hair moisturised and smooth, to help with your hair health and keep it soft.

Prevention Is Better Than Cure

If you’ve not yet found your first, you might want to work on keeping them at bay. Although you can’t fight genetics, and you’re destined to go grey at the age already written in stone, you can delay it, or at least slow it down. Greying hair can be influenced by stress and hormonal factors, even though it is ultimately a hereditary trait.

But, by working on keeping your moisture levels up, using a good treatment oil, eating a high protein diet, and focusing on your vitamins, you will be doing all you can to keep stress away and keep those greys at bay.

Nurture Over Nature

However, if the thought of going grey fills you with dread, you can take action. Aside from the healthy lifestyle choices you will need to make, you can start to cover up. Whether you choose to head to a salon for a professional finish, or to get an at home kit and do it yourself, colouring over any greys might be all it takes you put yourself at ease. Out of sight, out of mind as they say! And now that you’re not worrying too much about those greys, they’re even less likely to grow.
