Product Review: Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation & Concealer

by

I’ve been trying out Daniel Sandler’s Invisible Radiance foundation for the last few weeks so it was about time I shared my thoughts.

When I first saw the foundation, I loved the packaging and how the foundation and concealer are together in one compact bottle which I don’t often see. It’s so convenient for carrying around as you don’t have to hunt in your makeup bag for various products!

The foundation is in a glass bottle which makes it look really luxurious instead of a plastic bottle. The concealer is then in a pot on the top which screws off. But what I love most is that there’s a mirror under the lid of the concealer and a spatula type stick attached to get the foundation out which is great for controlling how much foundation you use!

I tend to scoop a little bit out and put it on the back of my hand (freshly washed!). I then use the Daniel Sandler foundation brush which I reviewed in a previous post.

Now the foundation itself is like no other foundation I’ve tried. It goes on feeling like a moisturiser but is heavier coverage than a tinted moisturiser – I’d say light but is also buildable. I find that this is a brilliant Summer foundation as it covers what you need it to but look so natural like your own skin!

It is also quite dewy which would be fine for dry skins, but oily skins would need to use a powder to set it a little (I’d recommend Daniel Sandler’s powder too!). I have combination skin so I tend to just use a little powder on my T zone but keep my cheeks dewy. Because of its formulation, it also works perfect with cream blushers and I’d say that it gives a gorgeous Summer look if you use it along side a cream blush.

The foundation also blends so easily into the skin that it doesn’t take much to buff it in which is why the moisturiser feel works so well. I wear it all day at work and only need to add the odd bit of powder on my nose which is down to my skin type, so I’d say it lasts a good 6-8 hours on its own. If you use a primer and finishing powder then it will definitely last a lot longer so it comes down to your daily routine really!

As for the concealer, it is very ‘buttery’ which I love as it blends into the skin effortlessly and doesn’t appear dry at all. As it matches the foundation too, it means you don’t need to try figuring out which concealer you need as I can never tell how much lighter I need to go!

The foundation and concealer Duo is available from Hairtrade for £28.00 which I think is a brilliant price for 2 products and you get a decent amount in too (30g). It is available in 4 shades – porcelain, beige, honey and deep sand.
