The Biggest Hair Trends for 2016

by

So here we are again, at the (almost) start of a new season, with fashion month firmly on its way. It’s not long until London Fashion Week launches in full swing and we’re set to see a full list of the hottest hair and beauty trends to land this year. But does that mean we’ll be saying goodbye to some of our recent favourites? I don’t think so.

Lately, we’ve been seeing some of the coolest trends around. Yes braids are back and sassier than ever, but so are some of the chicest cuts we’ve ever seen. So, let’s take a look at the hair style trends that’ll we’ll all be wearing this year.

Texture & Layers

Seen at: Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney

Adding texture to the hair is something we’ve all been doing for years now, but it’d not done yet. We all love a lot of body to the hair and it looks great when it’s luscious and layered. Spotted at last seasons fashion week, long locks with body, texture and that gorgeous straight out of bed style, texture and layers are sure to be back this season too.

Bobs & Lobs

Seen on: Alexa Chung, Jourdan Dunn

First it was bobs, then it was lobs (long-bobs). Short haircuts had us at hello. For years, we’ve been falling in love with chunky cuts and cool, easy to maintain styles and that certainly isn’t stopping yet (even Khloe Kardashian will tell you that). Even models are loving the short cut. The fash pack went wild for Mica Arganaraz’s short, textured curly do at the shows she walked last season.

Chunky Fringes

Seen at: Acne, Rebecca Minkoff

Fringes aren’t for everyone, but they work. For years, they’ve signified style, fashion and given off a certain edgy vibe. That doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. We loved the bangs at last seasons shows and they keep popping up on celebs. With Mica Arganaraz’s texturized do also sporting a chunky fringe, you can totally see why we’re set to see more!
